Sertoma was founded in Kansas City in 1912. There are about 800 Sertoma clubs in the U.S.,  Canada,  Mexico and Puerto Rico, with approximately 20,000 members.  Sertoma exists for the high and noble purpose of SERvice TO MAnkind by communication of thoughts, ideas and concepts to accelerate human progress in health, freedom, and democracy.  The  international focus of Sertoma is speech and hearing.  Local clubs are encouraged to participate in that focus but are active in many other sponsorships and fundraising  endeavors  as well.  For more information about Sertoma International visit the website below…..
