Individual and club service awards are achieved each year through volunteer efforts and activities.   HOLA also gives 2 very special awards each year….

The “Sertoman of the Year” award is the highest honor a Sertoman can achieve from their club. It is given to an individual member that has excelled in promoting the Sertoma mission or volunteer activities.  After earning the club award, it is possible for the individual to achieve that honor at the district, regional, & even international level.

HOLA’s Sertoman of the Year for 20011-2012 is Tim Love.  He now will be considered for Sertoman of the Year at the District level.

Susan Love is the current International Sertoman of the Year.

The “Service to Mankind” award is an honor the club bestows upon a person or entity who is not a Sertoman but  has contributed greatly to the betterment of  community and/or mankind.

HOLA’s  “Service to Mankind”  award for 2011-2012 was given to Alvaro Acosta.

CONGRATULATIONS to Tim, Susan and Al !   THANK YOU  for your service.  It’s people like you that make Sertoma worthwhile.!!

HOLA Sertoma earned all three of the awards given by international during the 2010-2011 year.  These included the Member, Marketing, and Mission Awards.  They are awarded based on activities of the club that enhance and build each of these areas into their volunteer activities and goal planning.  Since HOLA achieved all three of these, they were also awarded the “Circle of Excellence” Award.  HOLA  members are honored to have received these awards  and are very proud to add them to our  banner.
