Awards

Individual and club service awards are achieved each year through volunteer efforts and activities.   HOLA also awards 2 very special awards each year….

The “Sertoman of the Year” award is the highest honor a Sertoman can achieve from their club. It is given to an individual member that has excelled in promoting the Sertoma mission or volunteer activities.  After earning the club award, it is possible for the individual to achieve that honor at the district, regional, & even international level.

HOLA’s Sertoman of the Year for 2009-2010 is Rick Snell.

The “Service to Mankind” award is an honor the club bestows upon a person or entity who is not a Sertoman but  has contributed greatly to the betterment of  community and/or mankind.

HOLA’s  ”Service to Mankind”  award for 2009-2010 was given to Bonnie Dilger of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala for her work with the children & schools in that area.

Bonnie also won the District Award (Southwest MO/ARK) AND the Regional Award (Heart of America)!!  She will now be considered for the International award along with all other Regional winners.

CONGRATULATIONS to both Bonnie & Rick and THANK YOU  for your service.  It’s people like you that make Sertoma worthwhile.!!
